“The Wandering”

A face, a memory, a soul.

An impact. such as a star fallen in the dirt or a bolt of fire bursting a tree.

A door, a road, a way.

An opportunity. such as a chance to open ones heart, or to renew ones mind.

A person, a life, a history.

An eternal flame. such as nothing we can imagine or think or comprehend.

All contained within and yet containing the wandering where the wine overflows and the fire is not quenched.

This line could not have been more timely for me. Currently I’m battling with our education system and the end result is has on our diverse population. As an teacher, I feel as though I have become in instrument of conformity and this pains me. Maybe when I read this I thought of what my ideal classroom would be. One where we can still have creativity inquiry and space to question ourselves as well as our authorities.

    • Wow, I can see how that could be relevant in that setting, I hope and believe for you to find a way to bring that forth in perhaps a place that needs it more than any other. Blessings Donya, keep me updated with any stories that may come over the year, I’d love to hear them.
